This is me

Vicie - coffee.jpg

As the daughter of a Pastor (PKs, where y'all at?!), my faith has always been a big part of my life.  After going off to college and getting a taste of the crazy life, I gave my life to Christ in January 2008 and I haven't been the same since!  My relationship with Jesus has grown every year and I continue to fall in love with His Word and teachings every day! No matter what new shenanigans I think up, I come to pray and ask God, "Whatcha think about this, Lord?" and patiently wait for nudges I like to call "God Whispers" to guide me in any life decision. I know deep in my heart that He loves me, care for me and knows the number of hairs on my head - that's love, y'all!

Sharing how faith guides me

Jesus is my homeboy

Scripture I'm devouring this month:

Hey friends!  I can hardly believe it's been 2 months since I updated this section of my website!  Tax season was "tax season" and when I wasn't working, I was taking care of my two little bunnies (a Peppa Pig reference circa 2016) Adrianna and Cameron.  A little in my feelings this week as our country just witnessed two more mass shootings, one in an elementary school in TX.  This one hit close to home as my daughter is currently in 4th grade and I can't begin to image the anguish the parents must be feeling.  My heart hurts for them and for this country.  I was led to the following scripture to ease my heartache:

"Lord, how long will the wicked, How long will the wicked triumph" Psalms 94:3

It's always devastating to hear of these shootings and I pray that we do not grow numb and lose sight that each of these represents an act of the enemy and we must continue to pray.  Even when it's hard and we just want to take action to make it stop, we still pray.  Pray for our teachers, the students, parents, our government, and the leaders of this country.  God is still listening to our prayers.  He still cares for us. He sees our broken hearts and the savior of this world is embracing us as His own. Keep me in prayer as I keep you in prayer!
