This is me

Vicie - coffee.jpg

As the daughter of a Pastor (PKs, where y'all at?!), my faith has always been a big part of my life.  After going off to college and getting a taste of the crazy life, I gave my life to Christ in January 2008 and I haven't been the same since!  My relationship with Jesus has grown every year and I continue to fall in love with His Word and teachings every day! No matter what new shenanigans I think up, I come to pray and ask God, "whatcha think about this, Lord?" and patiently wait for nudges I like to call "God Whispers" to guide me in any life decision. I know deep in my heart that He loves me, care for me and knows the number of hairs on my head - that's love, y'all!

Sharing how faith guides me

Jesus is my homeboy

Scripture I'm learning this week:

It's so hard for me to pick one scripture that I'm focusing on each week.  I try to read my bible daily, so there's always fresh inspiration popping out at me!  This week, I'm focused on staying ready so I don't have to get ready!  If you have time, pop over to the blog post section and read my latest post on "It's ok to say I wasn't ready".  It was a whole epiphany for me!

"Be dressed and ready for active service, and keep your lamps continuously burning." - Luke 12:35 AMP

This scripture reminds to be STAY ready! It's OK if the opportunities have not presented themselves yet. God's delay is not a denial!  I've personally experienced that He's taking the time to prune us, getting the right resources in place, allowing us time to grow so that we are mature enough to handle the possibility of additional responsibilities that come with the opportunity! The scripture tells us to keep your lamps continuously burning - keep learning, keep saving, stay fresh with your zeal for your business, career or domestic responsibilities!  It takes some work on our part to keep the lamps burning (oil runs out, bulbs blow!), what are we doing personally to keep the lamp continuously burning?!  I hope this encourages you as much as it encouraged me this morning!  Have an amazing day friends!
