Devotionals
I needed a place to hold all my devotions that I was writing on the home page...this seemed like a good place :-) My prayer is that you read something that inspires you today!

December 2022
Hey friends! Welcome to the start of the Holiday season 2022! I love the joy and the spirit of the Christmas season. I'm constantly reminded of the birth of our Savior, Jesus, and twinkling lights, family visits, and the SWEETS! If you are one of those people who hate Christmas because it's too commercialized, I invite you to focus on the joy of our Savior being born over the gifts, stress, and commercialization of Christmas. What you focus on grows, so why not focus on Jesus?!
This is my most favorite time of the year because my birthday, my daughter, and Jesus' birthdays are in December! My wedding anniversary is also in December, so it's like a non-stop party for the Moran household! Since I'm celebrating my 15th wedding anniversary, I've been focusing on this scripture that I highlighted in my Bible app two week ago.
"Let every wife be supportive and tenderly devoted to her husband, for this is a beautiful illustration of our devotion to Christ." Colossians 3:18 The Passion Translation
I love the Passion Translation that reminds me that being supported and devoted is an illustration to our devotion to Christ. It's been a long 20 years. We met when we were 19 years old in college and we've both been like 4 different people and literally grew up together (per my FaceBook memories, I've had about 18 different hair styles since we met!). I look forward to continually showing my devotion to Christ by supporting my hubby in whatever he needs from me as his wife and partner in life!
So how do we acknowledge 15 years of the ups and down of married life?! We are celebrating our 15th year married, skiing with our kids in Canada - not ideal, however, our kids are pretty cool ski partners so we let it happen
February 2023
Good day and Happy New Year friends! It's February 1st as I write this and I'm gearing up for Tax Season 2023! I've had 13 new clients in the last week and realized I better get my procedures tightened if I want to thrive in this tax season! I'm always in awe of how God works - everything so intentional and beautifully orchestrated! I muse back and forth about going back into Corporate America, mainly because I need big funds to support my travel habits (LOL!), but every single time that I attempt to apply for a job, God will send another new client. I'm over here like, "OK, OK God, I hear you!". My purpose in this season is to WORK my businesses as hard as I worked in Corporate America. And I'm thinking that God is not going to allow me to go into Corporate America without finishing my assignment and purpose He has for me in life right now!
My Word for the year is Compassion, and if I want to take it further, it's Compassionate Heart. This is my year of softening, of leaning into my Word fully, and embracing a heart of compassion. Here's my focus scripture:
"'I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. ' Ezekiel 36:26-27
Have a found your word of the year?!? It's not too late to start or begin again for an intentional 2023!
